PwC UK has announced the appointment of Elisabeth Hunt as Energy and Resources sector leader.
It said Hunt brings more than two decades of experience in the sector to her new role, including the last seven years as the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Deals Tax leader.
Hunt has advised on numerous high profile upstream resources, energy services, renewables and infrastructure deals, in the UK and abroad, leveraging her experience in the sector and her experience of advising investors of private capital.
Her clients include leading institutional, financial and sovereign investors, multinational oil and gas companies and public utilities.
In her new role, she will lead the energy and resources team, focused on supporting clients operating in the sector on their journey to net-zero and as they tackle today’s challenges related to energy security, stability and the reshaping of supply chains and infrastructure.
Hunt said: “There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the energy and resources sector. The energy industry is going through a huge transformation and we need an unprecedented amount of collaboration to balance the transition to net-zero with the need for energy security, sustainability and affordability.
“I look forward to working closely with our talented industry teams, clients and colleagues across the wider network to collaborate on finding solutions to the challenges that our sector is facing and to make sure that we attract a diverse range of skills along the way.”
Drew Stevenson, leader of Industry for Energy, Utilities and Resources at PwC UK, added: “We are delighted to welcome Liz to her new role. She takes the reins as energy and resources sector leader at what is a critical point in time, supporting organisations seeking to balance the need for focus on operating performance and capital discipline with the challenges posed by energy security and affordability while accelerating energy transition.
“With her extensive expertise in the sector, Liz is very well placed to support our clients as they navigate this balance.”
