MHA has moved to new premises in Birmingham’s professional district, as part of its continued commitment to expand across the Midlands.
The accountancy and advisory firm now finds itself in a 7,100 sq ft office on the ground floor of 35 Newhall Street, following the building’s recent renovation.
Since initially committing to a 10-year lease on the office in late 2025, MHA has worked with office interior specialist Claremont to develop a space centering “culture and collaboration”.
The firm’s 75 staff members can now access breakout areas in the form of meeting pods and open meeting space, a wellness room and recreational areas with a dartboard and televisions.
After substantially growing its Midlands team in recent years, MHA now has 10 partners in the region.
Targeting Net Zero in operation, the 35 Newhall Street building he building features a living garden wall, solar PV panels to generate electricity and EV chargers.
It additionally has set out to boost employee wellbeing with a 980 sq ft roof garden and lounge overlooking the city.
Chris Barlow, COO of MHA’s Midlands’ region and partner, said: “Our growth in the Midlands has been part of the firm’s many recent success stories. We have made a succession of senior appointments and promotions to support this growth and ensure we offer the best possible service to our clients.
“We’re committed to further sustainable growth in Birmingham and across the Midlands over the coming years. Therefore, we must continue to invest in attracting and retaining the best experts in the region.”
He added: “Our new office matches our ambitions and will allow us to do this. It’s designed to maximise wellness and collaboration, promoting quality engagements between our colleagues. It’s also been created with sustainability in mind, which aligns with our commitment to make a lasting, positive impact on the communities we operate.”
Anna-Marie Chand, head of talent acquisition at MHA, said: “A wealth of reports over recent years have highlighted the strong link between a high-quality working environment and both job satisfaction and productivity.
“MHA is a people-first organisation, so investing in making our workspace the very best it can be was central to our Birmingham relocation, and we’re already receiving brilliant feedback from our people. The new office has been designed with open‑plan floors to encourage collaboration, as well as dedicated breakout spaces that allow our people to connect, recharge and work in ways that suit them best.”
She added: “The new space will play an important role in supporting our people and ensuring MHA continues to attract and retain the best talent as we grow in the region over the coming years. I’m excited to showcase the environment to the new talent joining us as part of our people-first onboarding experience.”
