Forvis Mazars has announced the appointment of Laura Salter as partner in its financial planning team based in the firm’s Birmingham office.

Salter, who has managed the Birmingham team since 2018, will now lead the expansion of the practice across the Midlands.

The national financial planning department includes more than 100 people across 10 offices, with £2.8bn funds under management.

Salter joined the firm as a graduate in 2013, and her promotion follows her work developing the company’s Independent Women service.

According to Birmingham office managing partner Stephen Lewis, Salter’s leadership was instrumental in scaling the firm’s regional capability.

Natalie Wright, financial planning partner at Forvis Mazars, said: “I am proud to champion exceptional colleagues like Laura as they grow into their potential and progress into senior roles at the firm. Laura consistently delivers an outstanding experience for our clients, and I am delighted to see her reach this significant milestone in her career.”

Salter added: “It’s a privilege to step into the role of Partner after more than a decade with the firm. I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built in Birmingham and excited to continue expanding our offering across the Midlands.

“Supporting our clients to achieve exceptional outcomes and long-term financial confidence is at the heart of what we do, and I am looking forward to driving further development of our practice in my new role.”
