Westcotts has marked its 40th anniversary, celebrating four decades of providing accountancy and business advice to clients across the South West.
Founded in Honiton in 1985 by Richard Thomas, the firm has grown from a single office into a regional practice employing more than 300 people across Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire. Its client base ranges from owner-managed and family businesses to charities, high-growth organisations and individuals.
Managing partner Shona Godefroy said the milestone reflected longstanding client relationships and the resilience of the region’s business community.
She said: “Reaching 40 years is a significant milestone and reflects four decades of trusted relationships, the expertise of our people and the resilience and ambition of the South West’s business community.
“We are grateful to our clients, colleagues and partners who have been part of our journey so far. As we look ahead, our focus remains the same – being present where and when it matters, supporting businesses to build strong, successful and resilient futures and contributing to the prosperity of the region we are proud to call home.”
Staff from all offices gathered at Sandy Park, Exeter, to mark the anniversary. The firm emphasised its commitment to maintaining a local presence while expanding specialist services across audit, tax, advisory, payroll, corporate finance, digital accounting and business recovery.
