Westcotts has been awarded an Investors in People gold accreditation in recognition of its commitment to employees and developing a positive work environment.

This latest award builds on their existing silver accreditation previously achieved in 2021, putting the firm in the top 11% of all Investors in People organisations.

The firm has been part of Investors in People for over 25 years, in the top third of accredited firms in the accountancy and finance sector.

Investors in People help leaders, employees and companies work together to create an effective environment. Now with over 50,000 organisations assessed, the accreditation is recognised across 101 countries.

The assessors highlighted that since the last assessment three years ago, Westcotts has moved forward on every measure. In particular, significant improvements were recognised in terms of the training provided, performance management, sustainable success and teamwork.

Simon Irvin, head of human resources at Westcotts, said: “We are thrilled to have achieved the prestigious Investors in People gold accreditation, a reflection of Westcotts commitment to excellence in people management and development. This accomplishment is a testament to the investment we’ve made into our HR, recruitment, and training departments, ensuring that our teams have the resources and support to thrive.

“Moreover, it highlights the outstanding leadership provided by our Partners, whose vision and dedication have driven a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Together, these efforts have created an environment where our people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to reach their full potential.”

Shona Godefroy, managing partner at Westcotts, added: “This really is a fantastic achievement for our firm. I have always believed that our team, their knowledge and commitment are our greatest asset.

“Our continual strive to improve our team engagement has taken a huge amount of work and achieving gold demonstrates that we have significantly improved over the past 3 years. This recognition helps us improve the way we work, as one firm, leading to better results and a stronger, more successful business overall.”
