Dow Schofield Watts has expanded its presence in Manchester by securing a larger permanent office in Cubo Spinningfields as the firm continues to grow its North West operations.

The firm has operated in the city since 2018 through DSW Ventures, its early-stage venture capital arm, established in response to Manchester’s growing technology sector.

The new space will accommodate the Ventures team following recent hires and provide room for other parts of the DSW group to support their expanding client base.

According to DSW, the expanded office would enhance its full-service offering across deal advisory, tax, business recovery, investment and legal services, while strengthening collaboration across the organisation.

The move builds on its headquarters in Daresbury, Cheshire, and follows the recent opening of a Birmingham office.

Dow Schofield Watts now operates from locations across London and the South East, the Midlands, the North West, the North East, Wales and the South West.

Shru Morris, chief executive, said: “Founded in the North West, our commitment to the region has remained unchanged even as our nationwide expansion continues. With the expansion of our Manchester office, we’re creating a permanent base for both DSW Ventures and the wider group, reinforcing our presence in the markets that matter most to our clients and ambitious entrepreneurs.”

Keith Benson, co-founder of DSW Ventures, added: “Having operated in Manchester for the last four years, we’ve continued to grow our team while supporting a growing number of innovative businesses. The expansion of our office at Cubo is a reflection of this growth and our commitment to one of the UK’s fastest growing regional economies.”
