Accountancy and advisory firm BKL has appointed two new partners, with Anoop Rehal joining from Cooper Parry and Aron Kleiman promoted internally.

Rehal has more than 20 years’ experience advising businesses on redesigning finance functions and operational improvement. As a senior member of BKL’s Advance Business Services (ABS) team, he will focus on supporting growing businesses with tailored financial and strategic services.

Kleiman was previously head of audit and accounts at Wilson Wright, which merged with BKL in 2024. As BKL’s head of audit excellence, he has overseen the development of audit processes and technology across the firm. His promotion to partner recognises his role in strengthening audit quality and client service.

Rehal said: “I’m really excited to join BKL as a partner. What drew me to BKL was the chance to work closely with SMEs – the heartbeat of the economy – with a team that truly values relationships, personal service and doing things the right way. The people at BKL are down-to-earth, collaborative and ambitious. I can’t wait to play a part in helping the firm grow.

Kleiman added: “Being promoted to partner is a milestone I’m incredibly honoured to have achieved. I will continue driving the adoption of cutting-edge audit technologies, tools and techniques to enhance the audit experience for our clients and teams. I’m excited about the future as we continue to grow and evolve BKL’s audit practice.”

The appointments follow a period of expansion for BKL’s leadership team, with three new tax partners joining between March and September, Juliet Shaw appointed chief growth officer, and James Addison named chief operations officer.

Chief executive Lee Brook said: “Anoop and Aron have taken different paths to partner level: Anoop joining us from a larger firm, and Aron having progressed within our business. This shows that BKL is the ideal place for experienced, talented professionals of all types. I know that Anoop and Aron will continue leading by example among colleagues, while ensuring we provide high-quality, insightful and innovative services to ambitious clients.”
