Consilium partner Susan Webb has been appointed as Dains’ regional finance director for Scotland, following the acquisition of the Glasgow-based firm earlier this year.

Webb is a qualified chartered accountant who brings over two decades of experience across accountancy practice and industry to the role.

A member of Consilium when the firm was established, she took up a role in industry in 2016 before returning to the firm as finance and operations director in 2021. She was a member of the partner team that took Consilium into the Dains Group earlier this year.

The acquisition of Consilium was Dains’ third in Scotland following the purchase of William Duncan and Condies.

In her new role, Webb will drive financial performance across Dains’ Scottish operations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Ayr, Kilmarnock, and Dunfermline, and support commercial decision-making and strategic growth for the Scottish region.

Graeme Bryson, regional managing partner for Scotland, said: “I’m delighted to see Susan step into the role of regional finance director. She brings a unique perspective and skillset, having operated in both accountancy practice and industry. Dains has growth ambitions in Scotland, and this appointment will be central to helping us achieve our objective of becoming the leading SME advisory firm in the UK.”

Webb added: “This is an exciting time for Dains as we build the business and brand in Scotland. I’m very much looking forward to ensuring our financial and commercial performance can support the next phase of growth.”
