Accountancy and advisory group Azets has appointed Alper Dervish as corporate finance partner, bolstering its Midlands team.
Dervish brings more than 20 years’ experience advising businesses at key stages of growth.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant, he moved into mergers and acquisitions, leading projects across due diligence, strategic assessments, fundraising and sales processes in sectors including technology, media and renewables.
He also serves on Intuit’s inaugural UK council, a voluntary body supporting small business growth nationwide.
In his new role, he will help lead Azets’ corporate finance team across its Midlands offices.
Dervish said: “I’m passionate about supporting entrepreneurial and fast-growing companies, from SMEs to large corporations. Having worked closely with a wide range of businesses to help them secure investment, expand and achieve their ambitions, joining Azets felt like a natural fit. I’m excited to help grow the corporate finance team while advising a broad portfolio of clients.”
Gary Hyem, corporate finance partner at Azets in Birmingham, added: “It’s great to be welcoming Alper to the team at such an exciting time. Following a very active year in the market, our outlook remains strong on both the buy and sell sides of deals. With his broad experience, Alper will play a pivotal role in enhancing our national offering and strengthening our presence across the Midlands.”
