GS Verde Group has advised IT services provider Orbits IT on its transition to an employee ownership model, in a deal designed to secure the firm’s long-term growth and stability.

The UK-based company has transferred ownership to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), to ensure the continuity of service and leadership while allowing employees to play a greater role in the company’s future.

GS Verde advised on all aspects of the transaction, including deal structure, legal documentation, corporate finance, tax, and communications.

The firm will continue to advise businesses on employee ownership and other corporate transactions across the UK and Ireland.

Orbits IT also received support from social enterprise Cwmpas.

Jim Lewington, director of Orbits IT, said: “Thank you very much for helping us achieve this. Everything has gone much quicker than we ever expected but we are delighted to be over the line with it. Your team was great, thank you to the teams across GS Verde.”
