RSM has appointed Ross Stupart as its new regional managing partner for Scotland and Northern Ireland, based in Edinburgh.
Stupart is currently office managing partner of RSM’s Edinburgh office. In his new role he will drive the firm’s growth strategy and lead the Scotland and NI team to deliver for our clients as the go-to advisers for the middle market. He will also continue in his tax partner role.
He joined RSM in 2017 and is a prominent tax adviser in the market, advising family owned, owner managed and private equity-backed businesses on a range of tax requirements.
With over 25 years of experience, he has worked with clients across a range of sectors which operate domestically and internationally. He takes over the role from Alex Tait, RSM’s head of risk and governance who takes on a broader role as part of the firm’s national consulting leadership.
Commenting on his new role, Stupart said: “I am proud to take the reins as regional managing partner, leading our teams to help them grow their careers at RSM and support businesses throughout the region to thrive. The growth our business has experienced is a testament to our great team plus our ambitious and innovative clients. I’m looking forward to working with our teams across audit, tax and consulting, and all our industry experts to ensure that we deliver the integrated insights businesses in Scotland and NI need to allow them to excel.”
Tait added: “I’m delighted to pass the baton on to Ross and have total confidence in his leadership skills. Our business in Scotland and Northern Ireland has more than doubled in turnover and staff since 2019 and I’m excited to see how our teams continue to grow and succeed under his watch, enabling middle market businesses across our region to reach their full potential.”
