Gerald Edelman has announced that its corporate finance team has advised the shareholders of FFM Engineering Services Limited (Flegg Projects), on its majority sale to Ainscough Industrial Services Limited (AIS).

With over 50 years of experience, Flegg Projects is a UK provider of logistics and engineering services.
Led by siblings, Jayson Flegg and Kiersten Cox, the company specialises in everything from specialist equipment moves to full factory relocations and system installations, serving a diverse range of blue-chip clients across multiple sectors.

Meanwhile, Wigan-based AIS, is an international group of engineering solutions companies. Its subsidiaries – AIS Vanguard, AIS Eurelo, AIS Wind Energy and VIG Industrial Relocation – specialise in lifting, removing, relocating, installing and decommissioning industrial equipment and machinery, as well as providing CDM and project management services.

Operating from 15 sites across the UK and Europe, AIS supports industrial operators across key sectors, including energy, aerospace, pharmaceutical, and automotive.

According to AIS, the transaction is the largest in its history and expands its capabilities by providing a foothold in medical equipment logistics.

Flegg, managing director and shareholder of Flegg Projects, said: “Flegg Projects has grown significantly over the years, driven by our customer-focused approach and the expertise of our specialist engineering team. Our people and service are at the heart of everything we do, so it was essential to find a partner who truly understood our operations and shared our values.

“The team at Gerald Edelman really understood our objectives, providing exceptional advice and support throughout the process. Their guidance was instrumental in achieving this fantastic outcome. I am confident that AIS is the perfect home for Flegg Projects, and I look forward to working together to unlock new opportunities and drive future growth.”

Sam Barr, director at Gerald Edelman, added: “It was a pleasure working alongside Jayson and Kiersty, and we are excited to see what the future holds for Flegg Projects under AIS’s ownership. AIS is a fantastic strategic and cultural fit, and we are confident that this partnership will enable Flegg Projects to continue its impressive trajectory. We wish all parties every success in the future.”
