Moore Kingston Smith has announced the appointment of Nick Thompson as the new head of corporate finance.

Thompson steps into the position as the corporate finance team continues its expansion. Now comprising 35 financial professionals specialised in M&A, transaction services and debt advisory teams, they provide solutions across various sectors with a focus on media, marketing, IT services, business services, manufacturing and education.

His career with Moore Kingston Smith began in 2009 as a trainee accountant in the media division. He joined the corporate finance team in 2012 becoming a partner in 2019 aged 30. While his M&A experience spans multiple sectors, he has specialised in IT services and media.

In his new role, his focus is fostering sustainable growth, further strengthening the quality of the firm’s deal advisory services and encouraging the team’s development.

On his appointment, Thompson said: “Moore Kingston Smith has consistently offered me opportunities to grow and it’s a great privilege to take on this role. As head of corporate finance, I’m committed to ensuring our clients continue receiving service of the highest quality as we help them achieve their goals, whether they’re selling, borrowing, merging, expanding or buying.”
