Moore East Midlands has appointed Mohamed Mavani as joint managing partner. He takes over from previous joint managing partner Geoff Norman, who retired on 30 September 2024.
Mavani joined Moore in 2005, becoming a partner in 2015. He is an audit specialist, working with clients across the manufacturing, retail, property and education sectors.
Norman’s retirement follows a 40-year career in accountancy, with 17 years at Moore East Midlands. He became joint managing partner in 2021 and has, alongside fellow joint managing partner April Foster, led the firm through a period of “significant” growth.
Mavani said: “It’s an honour to be taking over the joint managing partner role from Geoff, who leaves the firm in an incredibly strong position.
“I look forward to working closely with April and the rest of the Moore team to build on the success of the past few years as we continue to invest in and develop our exceptionally talented team.”
Norman added: “It’s been a privilege to work with some incredible clients over the years, many through several generations of business ownership, and many of them have become close friends.
“I’ve also loved my interactions with the rest of the team at Moore, and especially seeing people develop from fresh-faced new starters to knowledgeable experts undertaking work professionally and with skills that they never thought they would be able to master.”
