BKL has announced the appointment of Neil Lancaster as partner at Wilson Wright, City of London based accountancy, tax and business advisory firm and part of BKL.
Lancaster has been appointed as the firm’s newest private client tax partner, based on his experience in assisting high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and their families in managing and structuring their business and personal affairs to preserve and grow their wealth.
With 20 years of experience, he has a deep knowledge of tax and is known for acting as a commercial sounding board for clients, advising on their commercial and personal plans and aspirations.
His considerable knowledge and experience includes non-domiciled legislation, offshore and onshore trusts, inheritance tax planning, succession planning and structuring: developed during his time as a partner and in previous roles that he held in Big Four firms.
Lancaster’s appointment follows the coming together of Wilson Wright and BKL in April. The firm already has a considerable number of “high” net worth clients, including some of the UK’s “best-known” entrepreneurs, who rely on the practice’s discreet advice to carefully manage their tax affairs.
Lancaster said: “I am delighted to be joining the Wilson Wright tax team at such an exciting time in the history of the practice. The tax team is very impressive, and I am certain that together we will be able to advise and support clients with their goals and ambitions at this important time.”
Craig Nicholson, the group’s head of tax, added: “Neil is an excellent addition to our team. His knowledge and dedication to his clients is outstanding and he shares the same ethos that our entire tax team has when it comes to servicing our clients and their unique tax planning requirements.”
BKL’s CEO, Lee Brook, concluded: “We are really pleased to have secured this highly-regarded expert to bolster our already exceptional tax team. It is great to see the investment made in bringing together two outstanding firms in BKL and Wilson Wright starting to pay off so quickly. We will continue to build on this success and we have high hopes for the future of tax within our group.”
