Consilium Chartered Accountants has provided advisory and financial due diligence services to Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group (DRG) for its acquisition of Italian restaurants Paesano and Sugo.

The deal will see the Scottish hospitality group take over three Paesano and Sugo sites in Glasgow. Established in 2015 and 2019 respectively, they have served nearly 22,000 customers weekly.

Continuing a “long-standing” relationship between Consilium and DRG, owners Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta retained the services of advisor John Blair.

Blair said: “As long-time advisors to Mario and Tony, bringing the Paesano and Sugo brands into the DRG family has been hugely satisfying.

“Everyone at Consilium Chartered Accountants is looking forward to supporting DRG as they continue to expand their portfolio of restaurants.”

DRG is one of Scotland’s biggest independent restaurant groups, with over 20 venues including Amarone, Café Andaluz, Anchor Line and Di Maggio’s.
