Alan Heywood and Company merges with BKL
Following the merger, BKL now has a team of over 270 people, including 27 partners
North London-based accountancy firm Alan Heywood and Company (AH and Co) has announced it has merged with BKL.
Established in 1986, the group specialises in music, media and entertainment industries.
Through combining with AH and Co, BKL are building on their existing client base in the music, media and entertainment industries and enabling further growth as specialists in these sectors.
This is part of BKL’s strategy to “broaden” and “deepen” their expertise as advisers to specific business sectors. Other key sectors include property and construction, financial services and not-for-profit.
As of Monday, 4 March, AH and Co’s team have moved into BKL’s office. Following the merger, BKL now has a team of over 270 people, including 27 partners.
The news follows recent successful mergers of chartered accountants Landau Baker and commercial finance specialists CFPro last year.
This also builds on BKL’s growth at partner level in 2023, where two new audit partners were appointed: Nick Bishop, who was internally promoted; and Geeta Morgan, who joined from Mazars.
Duncan Hardy, BKL’s chief digital officer since 2019, was also appointed as a partner in 2023; as was Barbara Spurrier, founder of CFPro.
