Azets has opened a new Bristol office on Temple Back East, the second new office in the central and West region since 2022.

The move demonstrates the firm’s continued investment in the area and will house specialists in tax, audit and business advisory

The office, which will be headed up by Iain Sanderson, also marks the 87th in the Azets’ UK network.

Sanderson joined the firm as a tax partner, having spent the past 27 years working in tax at PwC, and will lead the corporate tax team in Bristol. He is responsible for providing corporate tax advice to businesses of all sizes, and in addition, has particular specialisms in charity tax, tax disputes and tax governance.

As head of the Bristol office, he will work closely with the Azets tax teams across the southwest and Wales, as well as providing high quality advice to clients across the UK.

Sanderson said: “It’s an exciting time to join Azets as the company continues to expand its footprint across the Southwest. The new Bristol office offers fantastic connectivity and opportunities for collaboration. We’re looking forward to growing the team, to keep up with demand from clients.”

Richard Goddard, regional managing director at Azets, added: “Opening the Bristol office and welcoming Iain to the team is a great step towards our goals for strategic development. The past few years have accelerated changes in the delivery of accountancy and advisory services, and Azets, with its extensive technology platforms, is leading the way to ensuring a more productive client relationship by simplifying workflow.

“It’s an exciting time for us, as we have ambitious growth plans for the area, and I look forward to working with the new Bristol team to help them deliver upon our collective ambitions.”
