Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, has moved to a flagship Edinburgh city-centre location after 15 years at its previous office.

All team members who were located at the Haymarket office have relocated to Capital Square, a major development which opened on 20 March 2023.

The new office at 58 Morrison Street is in the heart of Edinburgh’s commercial centre. Mazars said the space will better facilitate a more collaborative and hybrid approach to working, allowing people to move around the office depending on what the task at hand, alongside having the option to work from home.

It added the new office has “exceptional” sustainability standards, with the building achieving the BREEAM excellent standard, putting it in the top 10% most sustainable commercial office buildings in the UK. In line with Mazars’ sustainability strategy, there is a building-wide recycling scheme capable of recycling 100% of waste.

Laura Clarkson, Edinburgh office managing partner, said: “After 15 enjoyable years in our Haymarket office, during which time our Edinburgh team has grown significantly, it feels like the right time to move to a new location which will serve us and our clients long into the future.

“As we have all learned over the last few years, there is no single best way to work. In consultation with our people and our clients, we are embracing a hybrid working model which encourages our team to work in the way, and from the location, which best achieves our goal of producing an exceptional level of quality and service. Our new office is designed with that principle in mind and will feature spaces which truly reflect a modern and dynamic way of thinking, as well as supporting our commitment to sustainability.”
