Baillie Gifford has announced the appointment of Johnston Carmichael as its auditor for the 2024 financial year.

Johnston Carmichael will replace ‘Big Four’ firm EY, only two years after it took up the role.

Baillie Gifford is an investment management partnership established over 110 years ago.

Johnston Carmichael is an independent Scottish accountancy firm which is part of the Moore Global Network.

It manages and advises £223bn of specialist equity, fixed income and multi-asset portfolios for a global client base.

In its financial results for FY21 the company posted gross revenues of £7.8bn up from £5.3bn.

Its current share price is at 162.8p per share which is down from the 174.2p per share it was at in its FY21 results.
