EY has appointed two new UK & Ireland (UK&I) leaders to its Strategy practice, EY-Parthenon.
In a newly created position, Alan Hudson has been appointed the UK&I leader for EY-Parthenon, a global strategy consultancy, which employs 9,000 professionals worldwide and over 700 in the UK&I.
Hudson was previously EY’s UK&I Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy leader. He brings over 35 years’ experience having acted as principal and leading advisor to boards and stakeholders in challenging, stressed, and distressed situations. He was also appointed on many high-profile insolvency cases such as Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, House of Fraser, British Steel and FlyBe.
Hudson said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role, leading a fast growing, high performing and talented team. Now, more than ever, our clients want trusted advisors who will work with them to create and sustain shareholder and stakeholder value and address the opportunities and challenges arising from the pandemic and climate change, through to the energy crisis and shifting consumer habits.
“EY-Parthenon brings an unrivalled breadth and depth of sector insight, situational experience, skills and capability, as well as global reach, to serve our clients and help them develop and execute strategy, achieve their growth and transformation ambitions and create, protect and realise value.”
Succeeding Hudson as UK&I Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy leader is partner and sector-lead for Government and Infrastructure, Jo Robinson, who has 28-years’ experience in her field.
Robinson will lead a team, who together with colleagues from across EY-Parthenon and EY, help to “steer clients through difficult and complex situations”, by finding and executing practical solutions including, formal insolvency, working capital improvement, raising capital and refinancing, addressing pension challenges and corporate restructuring.
Robinson said: “Our clients are facing a myriad of challenges as they seek to navigate rising inflation, supply chain challenges, and geopolitical uncertainty. I’m proud to be taking on the leadership of our market-leading restructuring team and look forward to supporting clients tackle these challenges, as well as seize the opportunities ahead of them.
“Having joined EY as a school leaver, I’m also passionate about nurturing talent and diversity within the team and ensuring a culture of equality; where difference is valued, and everyone can thrive and succeed.”
