PwC has announced the appointment of Mark Anderson as sector leader for business support services as well as legal and professional services, further strengthening the firm’s industrial manufacturing, automotive and services industry (IMS).

Anderson is a forensics partner with over 20 years’ experience working with clients to develop technology-enabled solutions to mitigate and manage supplier and third party risks.

He works with clients across the IMS industry and leads both PwC’s global forensic intelligence team as well as its supply chain and third party risk and resilience proposition.

Additionally, Anderson leads PwC’s partnership with Transparency International, an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation advocating for anti-corruption policy on global, national and local scales.

He also works with law firms, both as clients and project partners, and a range of technology alliance partners in supply chain and procurement.

Previously, Anderson has held senior management roles at Deloitte and Walgreens Boots Alliance.

Anderson said: “Business support services is a fast growing sector which is vital to the UK economy. Through its inter-connectivity and multiple touch points across all industries, this sector has a huge opportunity to lead clients and their supply chains in doing business ethically and responsibly for long term competitive advantage.

“I’m delighted to have been appointed as leader across both of these sectors and look forward to helping our teams innovate and deliver sustainable and technology-enabled solutions for our clients.”

Quentin Cole, UK head of industries at PwC UK, added: “Mark brings with him a wealth of expertise in advising clients spanning a vast range of sectors on how to conduct business ethically and effectively whilst navigating and minimising the financial and reputational risks.

“The growth opportunities for the UK across business support services and legal and professional services are significant, and I’m delighted to welcome Mark into this new role as he looks to continue to develop our services and build our client base in these exciting sectors.”
