Deloitte debuts new undergraduate courses

The programme will allow students to attend a three-day virtual introductory course to learn about the firm and a career in professional services

Deloitte has announced it will debut two new courses as part of its annual early careers programme, ‘Spring into Deloitte’, which will welcome 160 undergraduate students in April.

The courses include ‘Young Black Professionals’ and ‘Women in Technology’, in addition to its existing ‘Regional Careers Global Impact’ programme.

The introduction of ‘Young Black Professionals’ comes off the back of Deloitte’s Black Action Plan to provide equal opportunities, and the ‘Women in Technology’ course will introduce women to the firm’s technology and digital sectors.

The programme, now in its ninth year, will allow students to attend a three-day virtual introductory course to learn about the firm and a career in professional services.

Deloitte said this can act as the first step to a career at the firm.

Jackie Henry, managing partner for people and purpose at Deloitte, said: “Spring into Deloitte is designed to help young people forge a career of their choice while giving the opportunity to learn more about Deloitte.

“This year, I’m excited to welcome students to our bespoke new programmes. I look forward to following the journeys of these talented individuals through university and beyond and I wish them every success as they study for their degrees.”
