Shaw Gibbs promotes two associate directors

Hiller takes an active role in DFK, the international association Shaw Gibbs are a member of, whilst Kidd will be launching a client experience programme within the re-named department, clients and markets

Shaw Gibbs has announced the promotion of Emily Hillier and Fran Kidd to the role of associate director.

From 1 February, the firm revealed Hiller became associate director, personal tax whilst Kidd is now associate director, clients and markets.

Hiller, who has been with the firm since 2018, is a personal tax specialist who advises primarily on international and property taxes. She leads the property sector team at Shaw and takes an active role in DFK, the international association Shaw Gibbs are a member of.

Additionally, the firm said Kidd has been with Shaw since 2017, leading the marketing and business development functions. She also chairs the DFK UK and Ireland marketing committee and a sub-committee who focus on client communications for DFK International.

As part of her new role, she will be launching a client experience programme and the department has been re-named clients and markets to reflect this.

Peter Jones, tax partner, said: “Since joining us, Emily has demonstrated her expertise and shown that she is a big asset to the private client team, providing high quality advice to her clients and assistance to her colleagues.

“Over the last 18 months, Emily has been working closely with me and the leadership team at Shaw Gibbs on her development and we are thrilled that she has been promoted to the associate director role.”

Sarah Gardener, partner and head of outsourcing, added: “Since coming on board Fran has had a huge impact, helping us secure some great wins but perhaps even more importantly, working with us to develop a more structured and targeted approach to our business development.

“The emphasis on client experience is very important to us and I am excited to see how this unfolds over the next few months.”
