Albert Goodman, a South West-based chartered accountants, tax consultants and financial planners, has appointed seven new trainees as part of its growth plans and “ongoing commitment” in the investment of its workforce.

New recruits, Emma Cowie, Jacob Ellison, Joe Gibbs, Megan Herriot, Ellis Hillman, Lindsey Johnson and Rhys Tottle will join the firm’s tax, audit, business services and farms and estates teams.

The firm said the trainees will undergo a three-year training programme, gaining “invaluable” on-the-job training whilst studying towards their professional qualifications.

Sophie Parkhouse, partner at Albert Goodman, said: “We are pleased to be welcoming another strong group of people into our business this summer, demonstrating our success in growing our own talent as last year’s intake have already progressed in their roles.

“I am very much looking forward to working with each individual over the coming weeks and paving out their tailored career paths with a view to them becoming the future partners of the business.”
