CaseWare UK, a supplier of audit and assurance software, has announced a combination with customised solutions provider AuditWare Systems.

While both businesses have operated as a part of the wider CaseWare group for over two decades, AuditWare will now trade under the CaseWare UK brand.

As a result of the merger, Brendan Walsh will be stepping down from his role in charge of the independent distributor for CaseWare IDEA in favour of an advisory position.

Moreover, both the AuditWare staff and client base will be transferred to CaseWare to ensure a smooth transition.

Simon Warren, managing director at CaseWare UK, said: “We are delighted to announce that CaseWare UK Ltd and AuditWare Systems Limited have decided to combine their operations, an extremely exciting moment in the history of both organisations.

“It represents a clear statement of intent to invest in the future of Idea and analytics AI in the UK, combining a superb data analytics team with the highly regarded technical group at CaseWare UK.”

The combination will create a dedicated data analytics function for CaseWare’s external audit clients, as well as providing greater resources for the group’s internal audit clients.

Warren added: “Our two organisations have enviable reputations for the level of technical knowledge in their respective fields, and for their level of client service.

“Every one of our clients is valuable to us, and we’ll ensure that there is stability and continuity of service as we bring the two organisations together.”
