Westminster Group has announced the appointment of Simon Gregory Barrell to the board as a non-executive director with effect from 1 July 2021.

Barrell is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and an experienced non-executive director of numerous public companies.

This includes those quoted on AIM, he also has experience acting in the roles of chairman, chair of the audit committee, and sitting on the remuneration committee and nominations committees.

In his new position, Barrell will be assuming the role of chair of the audit committee.

He said: “I was very impressed by what Westminster has achieved in recent years including the recent contract wins.

“I am joining at an exciting time for Westminster on its growth trajectory. I look forward to serving on the board in this time of growth.”

Tony Baldry, chairman, Westminster Group, added: “We are delighted Simon has agreed to join the board of Westminster.

“I am sure his wealth of experience gained from a variety of business sectors, in particular working in AIM listed companies and serving on boards of growing and successful companies, will be of great value to our business as we expand and deliver on our significant potential.”
