Langricks Michael Bell, a chartered accountancy firm, has announced the appointment of Nigel Shaw as tax director.

He brings over 30 years experience in dealing with high net worth individuals, trusts, estates and probate.

In addition, he advises clients on philanthropy matters and the “best ways” to mitigate inheritance tax.

Throughout his career, his clients have included many SME owners in Yorkshire as well as acting for many of their family trusts and estates.

Chris Langrick, managing director for Langricks Michael Bell, said: “As we develop our services across a wider SME client base it’s important that we can have the right conversations with all our business owners about strategies to preserve both their business and private wealth.
