Bobroff provides the position with 30 years’ experience in leading and managing businesses, including seven years as chairman of Tottenham Hotspur.
During his spell in North London, Tottenham became the first football club to float on the London Stock Exchange. Bobroff also worked alongside David Buchler, chairman of Buchler Phillips, from 2001 to 2006 at White Hart Lane.
Buchler said that he was “excited to be expanding my long association” with Bobroff as he joins the group’s partnership.
He added: “Central to the Buchler Phillips turnaround offering is our ability to work on the ground, whether in a directorship capacity, as a chief restructuring officer, or in any other way as part of the management group in order to effect positive change.
“There are very few operational turnaround experts with the breadth of Paul’s experience, particularly in situations with a real estate or capital markets component.”
Specialising in real estate, Bobroff founded property investment group Markheath, acting as managing director for two decades and taking the business public in 1981.
More recently he served as CEO at London Asia Capital since 2013, being tasked to realise assets and recover funds.
