Accountancy firm David Allen has announced that senior tax consultant Victoria Lawson has been promoted to Penrith manager
Lawson joined the firm from a competitor accountancy practice in 2018 after a colleague also moved to David Allen.
Having been qualified for eight years, Lawson has gained experience in a broad range of tax issues from income tax, Inheritance Tax and capital gains tax planning to succession planning, Research and Development Tax Credits and Company Purchase of Own Shares.
Lawson said: “Penrith is a great place. It is full of businesses that I can relate to and I can’t wait to represent the David Allen brand here.
“It gives me enormous pleasure finding solutions for clients. I can bring a fresh look and a different perspective to the issues my clients face. I am passionate about what I do, and I am genuinely interested in my clients, finding solutions and saving tax.”
He added: “Getting to know clients and understanding their needs are important to me. I like providing solutions to a tax problem which has been a source of concern, helping them cut through the complexities of tax and putting them at ease. Tax, in particular Inheritance Tax, is a very emotive subject and I like to think I can make it less scary to discuss and plan for.”
The David Allen office in Penrith has been open since 2009 offering a range of services including tax planning, accountancy and with the help of their newest recruit, Neil Edmondson, they now offer independent financial advice.
