Ballards LLP announced it has made an “outstanding commitment” to businesses by offering free business advice to those affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
The Worcestershire firm of chartered accountants will offer the free service online or through telephone calls, and has pledged to respond to every applicant within 24 hours.
The firm said it wants to ensure that “as many businesses as possible come out the other end in one piece”.
CEO James Syree said: “We have been speaking to a large number of clients that have been affected by the recent situation and it is clear that, although the government schemes will undoubtedly provide a solution to long term cash flow issues, these loans and grants are not readily accessible and won’t be in place for some time.
“This leaves companies in a difficult position in the short term and many need advice about what options they have to ensure immediate business continuity.”
He added: “We have been advising a number of clients on cash flow planning and business strategy as well as discussing their options regarding the government’s Business Interruption Loan Scheme, business rate relief and Job Retention Scheme (furloughing staff).
“We have now made the decision to roll this support out to any business that needs it, free of charge.”
Established in 1985, Ballards LLP is a 10-partner firm of chartered accountants. It employs over 70 staff from across Worcestershire, and specialises in the use of cloud accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks.
