Chartered accountants Simpkins Edwards has appointed Mary Jane Campbell as its new managing partner.

Campbell, who also leads the British Junior Carriage Driving Team in her spare time, will take over from Lynn Woodward who has been at the helm since 2012. Woodward will remain as a partner at the firm, focusing on her rural business and agricultural client base.

Campbell said: “Lynn has shaped the firm over the past seven years. She has done an amazing job, putting us in a strong position to meet the needs of clients seeking strategic business, accountancy and tax advice across the region.

“As managing partner, my aim is to further invest in the best people so that we continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients. I am very proud of our record of developing school leavers and university graduates through our apprenticeships schemes and of the range of talent we have throughout the firm.”

She added: “As part of the firm’s strategy for growth we embrace new technology to help save our clients time and money, while delivering real-time management information. Alongside insight from our team of experienced professionals this allows our clients to plan with confidence.”
