FRP Corporate Finance has announced the promotion of two new associate directors in its London office.

Scott Archer has been promoted to the role after “leading some of FRP Corporate Finance’s most significant debt advisory transactions”. Most recently he supported Horizon Capital and TopSource Worldwide on the refinancing of TopSource and a debt raise to finance the acquisition of Blueback Global, and earlier in the year he worked on the refinance of Babble, an IT managed software business owned by the private equity firm Graphite Capital, to help facilitate its ongoing buy and build strategy.

Also promoted to associate director is Ed Shurville-Darlington, who recently advised the shareholders of Plenitude Consulting, a London-based consultancy firm specialising in financial crime risk and compliance, on the investment from Growth Capital Partners to support international growth

He also advised global executive search firm, TritonExec, on the $30m (£25m) investment from Singaporean multinational technology corporation Prytek.

Elsewhere, Edward Jones and Beth Warner have both been promoted to assistant managers in FRP Corporate Finance’s Norwich and Brighton-based teams respectively, after playing an “instrumental role” in expanding the firm’s deal activity in these key regions.

Emmanuel Chaaraoui has been promoted to senior research analyst in the central research team, based in the firm’s London office.

Across the business, FRP has also promoted an additional 22 people in a wide range of roles from office managers to directors across its restructuring advisory, forensic services, and central services teams.

The annual promotions follow another period of “significant expansion” and profitable growth for the wider firm, which grew its headcount by more than 50 people in the last 12 months, an 11% uplift, and investment across all areas of the business.

FRP said its Corporate Finance team made a significant contribution to this success, with the team advising on 40 deals in the first half of this financial year with a combined deal value of more than £1.2bn.

FRP currently employs more than 550 people across its network of 26 offices in England and Scotland, including 80 partners nationwide.

Jeremy French, COO at FRP, said: “Developing talent within our team remains fundamental to our success and this latest round of promotions comes following another period of successful growth for FRP Corporate Finance.

“Our ability to execute the very highest standards of corporate finance services and expertise for our clients is fuelled by our people and this latest round of promotions acknowledges the hard work and commitment that they have made to the firm’s ongoing success. I congratulate them all on their progression.”
