Interpath Advisory, KPMG’s former restructuring practice, has announced that it has appointed Christine Cross as a special advisor for the business.

As an independent business advisor, the firm said Cross combines a “mixture” of advisory and non-executive roles with consulting to retailing and manufacturing businesses, plus academic institutions.

She established her company, Christine Cross Ltd, in June 2003 and since then has worked with a range of global food and non-food retail and FMCG businesses.

Previously, she was the director of Tesco where she was involved in the development of its private label, the establishment of its non-food business, international direct sourcing and, latterly, global business development.

In this new role, Cross will work as part of Interpath’s advisory committee to “support organisations” across the consumer, retail and manufacturing sectors.

Mark Raddan, head of advisory at Interpath, said: “We are delighted to welcome Christine to our advisory committee.

“Her reputation as one of the foremost advisors to companies across the FMCG, retail and manufacturing sectors is second to none, and I know that she will bring a unique and fresh perspective to our conversations with clients around the challenges and opportunities they currently face.”
