Vistry Group has announced that the former vice chair of KPMG, Ashley Steel, has been appointed a non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.

Steel will also be a member of the nomination committee, the remuneration committee and the audit committee.

She is also currently a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee at National Express Group as well as a non-executive director, member of the audit committee and the remuneration committee at Cineworld Group.

Ian Tyler, non-executive chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Ashley to the board of Vistry Group.

“Ashley’s strong board experience will further strengthen the board as we continue to grow and develop our operations following the successful acquisition of the Linden Homes and Partnerships businesses from Galliford Try last year. I look forward to her valuable contribution.”
