Sinead Leahy, a former partner at accounting giant PwC and the firm’s head of Pensions Investment Consulting, has joined Alpha Real Capital as a pension specialist.

Leahy previously oversaw investment strategy and implementation advice to corporate sponsors and trustees of large defined benefit (DB) pension schemes during her time at PwC.

In recent years, Leahy’s role has been to develop journey plans for clients with an “emphasis” on cash flow driven investing.

Leahy said: “With institutional investors, particularly maturing pension schemes, increasing their focus on long term, inflation-linked, secure income assets, I am delighted to be joining Alpha Real Capital which has so much to offer in this space.”

Phillip Rose, CEO at Alpha Real Capital said: “Alpha Real Capital is delighted to appoint Sinead as a senior adviser.

“Her pension fund industry and illiquid markets experience and knowledge, including senior roles with organisations such as RBS and PwC, will make a valuable contribution to our growth as a “go to” provider of secure income solutions for UK and European investors.”
