Royce Peeling Green (RPG) has announced that it has signed a deal to acquire Crawfords Chartered Accountants.
Set to be completed on 31 March 2021, the deal will create a new firm that will trade as RPG incorporating Crawfords.
As a part of the move, the entire Crawfords team will join RPG’s Deva City Office Park offices, with Daniel Prais, partner at Crawfords, becoming a director at RPG Group.
Jonathan Brownson, managing director at RPG, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Crawfords team and their clients into the RPG Group.
“We have known and respected the partners of Crawfords for many years and we can see the perfect fit between the two firms. Crawfords share our client-centric approach and will bring a number of service specialisms.”
The addition of Crawford’s insolvency team to the group will reportedly strengthen its practices in the area, while an additional insolvency practitioner will also join the team in March.
Brownson added that the acquisitions provide the firm with a “springboard” to expand its position in Manchester and further afield, as it is already looking to extend its “business services and specialist tax teams”.
