Azets has announced that it has made five new promotions across its North West offices.\r\n\r\nKaren Chadwick, Jenny Pape, Stephen Kerrigan, Simon Read and Lee Van Houplines have all been appointed to partner, whilst Helen Davies has been promoted to director. These key promotions reportedly demonstrate Azets\u2019 commitment to growing the business regionally.\r\n\r\nChadwick has been with Azets for six years and has over 25 years of private client tax experience. She started her career with the \u2018Big Four\u2019 and prior to joining Azets, worked at two independent firms widening her experience within the owner-managed business\/SME market.\r\n\r\nShe advises high net worth individuals across the region, including many non-UK residents and domiciled clients and is based in the firm\u2019s Manchester office.\r\n\r\nPape joined the Azets Lancaster tax team in 2017 after 10 years with a \u2018Big Four\u2019 firm. She has over 12 years\u2019 experience advising SMEs, owner managed businesses and international groups, as well as charitable organisations, on all aspects of UK taxation.\r\n\r\nShe specialises in \u201ctax structuring\u201d and also has \u201csignificant experience\u201d agreeing settlements with HMRC on her clients\u2019 behalf. She will also be responsible for providing tax advice to Azets\u2019 Preston office client base.\r\n\r\nKerrigan is a chartered tax advisor specialising in all personal and employment taxes. He has over 10 years\u2019 experience working with \u201cowner-managed businesses\u201d and individuals to minimise their tax exposure across the board. He deals with HMRC disputes and enquiries and heads up the Rossendale tax department.\r\n\r\nRead, who is also a chartered accountant, has over 10 years\u2019 experience in the accountancy profession. He works closely with a wide portfolio of clients, in a range of sectors including professional football, online retail and technology.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, he is a trusted advisor for a number of businesses, from smaller family companies to the UK arms of large international groups and is based in the Rossendale office.\r\n\r\nHouplines joined the Manchester office as a graduate trainee in 2004. He has significant experience of audit compliance and accounts advisory services, dealing predominantly with a range of owner-managed businesses alongside listed entities and large groups of companies containing overseas subsidiaries.\r\n\r\nHe has particular expertise in the manufacturing, distribution and healthcare sectors.
