Clive Owen has received the inaugural Youth Futures Award at the 5% Club summer reception held at the House of Lords.
The accountancy and business advisory firm was one of only two organisations to be honoured at the event.
The accolade recognises the company’s work in supporting apprenticeships and creating training opportunities for young people across its audit, accounting and tax divisions.
The firm holds platinum member status with the 5% Club, an employer-led movement that promotes earn-and-learn training positions across the UK.
Clive Owen offers structured career routes for school leavers and graduates, supporting qualifications including the ACA and ACCA.
Head of people and culture Ula White accepted the award on behalf of the company. The business also provides professional development programmes for its employees working across its internal marketing, human resources, IT and administration departments.
White said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised through the Youth Futures Award and it was an honour to attend the House of Lords. Supporting young people to build rewarding and successful careers is something we are deeply passionate about as a firm.
“At Clive Owen, we believe talent comes from many different backgrounds and pathways. Whether someone joins us as an apprentice, graduate or experienced professional, we are committed to providing the support, training and opportunities they need to reach their full potential. This recognition reflects the dedication of colleagues across the firm who invest significant time and energy in mentoring, coaching and developing the next generation.”
Phillipa Symington, partner and people and culture lead, added: “Receiving this award at the House of Lords is a very proud moment for us as a firm. It represents years of commitment to doing things the right way, investing in people, creating opportunity and supporting long-term development.
“We know that talent doesn’t follow a single path, and we have worked hard to build a culture where different routes into the profession are not only recognised, but celebrated. As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same – to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop, progress and succeed. To see that recognised in this way means a great deal.”
