Clive Owen LLP has announced Michael Dickens as its new manager of corporate finance, as part of its continued commitment to expanding this division.
The Darlington-based accountancy firm said Dickens arrives at “a time of strong, sustained organic growth for the firm”, with 15 years of experience supporting high-growth businesses across the north east.
He joins the firm following eight years at nationwide venture capital and private equity firm Maven Capital Partners, where Clive Owen said he was essential in providing growth capital and strategic funding advice to businesses across the region.
He also has six years at a regional fund management business Rivers Capital Partners under his belt, where he supported SMEs across several sectors and progressed from trainee to fund manager.
Clive Owen said that over the course of his career, he has completed more than 200 corporate transactions in the region valued at over £100m, specialising in seed and growth funding, management buyouts (MBOs), and securing finance to help businesses scale.
It added that his investment and finance raising capabilities will supplement and strengthen the firm’s corporate finance team, which has “recently advised on a series of high-profile transactions”.
