DFK UK and Ireland has appointed Andrew Moss, a partner at DSG, as deputy chair.

Moss has worked at the independent accountancy and advisory firm for more than two decades.

He has established a reputation as a business adviser supporting owner-managed companies through acquisitions, disposals and long-term value planning.

DSG has held membership with DFK UK and Ireland – part of DFK International – since 2011. The international alliance connects independently owned member firms across more than 430 offices in over 85 countries to provide audit, tax and advisory services.

The arrangement allows DSG clients with overseas requirements to access in-market advice from fellow member firms. Conversely, international firms utilise the local expertise of DSG across the north of England.

As deputy chair, Moss will help oversee the activities of the association across the UK and Ireland. The regional network comprises more than 140 partners and almost 1,600 members of staff.

The appointment coincides with DFK UK and Ireland marking its 30-year anniversary. The association will celebrate the milestone at its annual conference in Liverpool this September, where DSG was founded in the 19th Century.

Moss said: “Being a part of DFK has enabled us to bring an international mindset to every conversation, sharing insight and capability in a way that makes our advisory more rounded, whilst delivering real value for our clients. I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of deputy chair and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the association to strengthen collaboration and help businesses access trusted advice wherever they operate.”

Chairman and executive officer for DFK UK and Ireland, Mark Ashfield, added: “Andrew’s appointment is a strong endorsement of the quality of leadership and advisory expertise within the DFK association. I’m looking forward to working closely with him as deputy chair as we build on 30 years of collaboration across the UK and Ireland and continue strengthening the support we provide to businesses with ambitions beyond their home market.”
