Affinia has announced the acquisition of KRW Accountants, establishing a new presence in Towcester.

The move forms part of the firm’s strategy to scale its operations across the Midlands, where it now operates a growing network of offices.

Founded in 2009, KRW Accountants provides tax compliance and fixed-fee accounting services to owner-managed businesses and startups.

Its service range includes digital automation, payroll, and virtual finance director support, which will now be integrated into the wider Affinia platform.

The acquisition brings Affinia’s total workforce to more than 1,100 professionals across 19 offices.

The group, which was rebranded in November 2024, recently reached a milestone by combining with three UHY Hacker Young offices, including a site in Nottingham, to create a top 25 UK firm by revenue.

The expansion follows the recent announcement that private equity firm Sovereign Capital Partners is to exit its investment in Affinia through a sale to RedBird Capital Partners, subject to regulatory approval.

Alex Beattie, director at KRW Accountants, said: “Joining forces with Affinia has strengthened our offering to owner-managed businesses and paved the way for our continued growth, with the help and support of a forward-thinking team who share our values.”

Rob Harden, chief development officer of Affinia, added: “This is a great step forward in our continued growth plans in the Midlands and this combination supports our ambition to be the UK’s largest purpose-led, purpose-built accountancy firm. We’re delighted to bring KRW Accountants into Affinia.”
