The Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers (IAB) has issued a £12,656 fine to former Apostle Accounting director Zoe Rosborough and a formal exclusion from the body, following a conduct panel investigation into her professional misconduct.
The professional body found Rosborough, also known as Zoe Goodchild, guilty of dishonesty after she failed to declare previous disciplinary action when renewing her membership.
In light of this, the panel issued a fine of £12,656 and ordered Rosborough to pay £500 in costs. It stated she would be ineligible for an anti-money laundering certificate in the future.
Innovate Accountancy was incorporated in 2022 with Rosborough listed as the sole director. She remains a director at Apostle Accounting, which is currently in voluntary liquidation.
Apostle Accounting collapsed in October 2023 following client complaints regarding tax rebate services. Suffolk Police subsequently raided the company premises and the residential addresses of its directors.
A liquidator report from August 2025 indicated Apostle Accounting owed £349,184. This total included a debt of £202,754 owed to HMRC.
