TC Group has completed its merger with Stiles and Co, a Taplow-based accounting firm, which will see it increase its service capacity across the Thames Valley, Greater London, and Home Counties.

The merger integrates Stiles and Co’s regional portfolio into TC Group’s national network, which currently consists of more than 60 offices across the United Kingdom.

Stiles and Co has operated for over 80 years, providing audit, accounting, and taxation services to businesses and private clients.

By joining TC Group, the Taplow office will gain access to centralised technical support and a broader range of business advisory services while maintaining its existing regional presence.

TC Group’s growth strategy focuses on acquiring independent firms that require additional scale to manage evolving regulatory and technical challenges.

The partners at Stiles and Co noted that the merger is intended to provide enhanced opportunities for staff and additional resources for clients.

The combined entity will continue to operate from the Taplow location, utilising TC Group’s infrastructure to deliver compliance and advisory solutions to its established client base in the South East of England.

Shiv Shah, chief growth officer at TC Group, said: “We welcome Stiles and Co to TC Group. After recognising that remaining as an independent firm has challenges, the Stiles and Co directors chose TC Group as the home for themselves, their people, and their clients. Our shared ethos on wanting to deliver relationship-led client outcomes made it clear we are a fit with one another.”

The partners at Stiles and Co added: “We are joining the TC Group and the benefits it will bring to our clients in terms of technical support and the opportunities it will bring to our staff. The Thames Valley, Greater London, and Home Counties is a region to cover and we believe that being part of TC Group will help us to further build our presence in the region in delivery of audit, accounting, and taxation services.”
