Azets has announced the appointment of Ben Hick as associate director within its corporate finance team in Leeds

Hick joins the firm with 10 years of experience at PwC and KPMG, having previously advised privately owned and private equity businesses across the services, industrials, and technology sectors.

Most recently, Hick served as corporate development director for a private equity-backed business where he managed national and international expansion plans for the organisation.

The new associate director specialises in private equity investment, trade exits, and cross-border deals. Hick will support a range of businesses across Yorkshire and the UK.

The appointment marks the first hire for the corporate finance team in 2026, following a period of growth in 2025 where four partners joined the firm.

Hick will work alongside corporate finance partner Iffy Hussein in the Leeds office. Azets currently employs 335 people across its three Yorkshire sites in Leeds, Bradford, and York.

The UK corporate finance team advised on 124 disclosed deals in 2025. These transactions were split equally between buy side and sell side instructions.

Lee Humble, UK head of corporate finance at Azets, said: “Ben will further strengthen the expertise and depth of our team so we can continue to provide best in class service. He joins after an exceptional year for our team in 2025.

“I am confident that he will make a major contribution to another great year ahead as we continue to support clients in multiple industries.”

Hick added: “I am thrilled to be joining a formidable corporate finance team with such an excellent reputation. I look forward to working with the team and playing my part in providing that support.”
