Forvis Mazars has appointed Elizabeth Young as a partner in its risk assurance service line, based in the firm’s Glasgow office.
Young will be responsible for establishing and developing a dedicated risk assurance practice in Scotland, with a focus on public sector clients. The role is intended to expand the firm’s risk assurance capability in the region.
She has almost 20 years’ experience in risk assurance and audit, having held senior in-house roles and worked as a consultant. Her work has included delivering outsourced internal audit services for public sector bodies, as well as commercial and third sector organisations.
Young is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. She also sits on ICAS’s Audit and Assurance Panel, where she contributes an internal audit perspective to work on audit quality and best practice.
