Mazuma has appointed Becky Glover as its chief financial officer, a new role for the business.
Glover joins the female-founded accounting business with experience built across biotech, software and insurance businesses.
She has worked in fast-growing, tech-driven organisations over the last decade, and sits on the board of AAT, is vice chair of the ACCA Financial Services sector panel and helped found Connexion Career Collective, a community supporting women working in male-dominated industries.
Lucy Cohen, founder and CEO of Mazuma, said: “I’ve had my eye on Becky for a long time, so I’m genuinely delighted she’s joining us. She brings serious financial firepower and understands exactly how to build financial control without killing momentum and ambition.
“That kind of attitude and knowledge make her a perfect fit for Mazuma. We move quickly, we question everything and we are proud to be disruptive. Becky is calm, pragmatic, smart and very much our kind of human. I can’t wait to see how she helps take us forward.”
Glover added: “Mazuma has a really clear sense of who it is and what it’s building. That’s rare and it’s exciting. The team moves fast, thinks differently and I can already tell everyone genuinely cares about doing things better for clients.
“I’m looking forward to helping Mazuma grow even further and making sure the numbers are working just as hard as the people.”
