Dains has announced the appointment of Louise Balloch to the role of payroll director for Scotland, as part of the firm’s efforts to expand its specialist payroll and people advisory services across the UK.

Balloch brings nearly 20 years of experience, including more than a decade leading teams and managing complex payroll system migrations. Her background includes a senior role in rewards and benefits at a major UK bakery group, where she worked on total reward strategies and employee engagement.

She is known for developing high-functioning payroll operations through structured leadership and a focus on continuous improvement. In her new post she will support the firm’s national payroll capability and work with teams to improve efficiency, client experience and service development.

Balloch said: “I am pleased to be joining the Dains Group at a time of growth and opportunity. Payroll is central to compliance and employee engagement, and I am committed to helping businesses unlock potential.

“I look forward to working with the team across the group to deliver innovative, reliable and high-quality payroll solutions that support both clients and their people.”

Samantha Johnson, payroll partner at Dains, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Louise to the team. Her expertise in payroll leadership and transformation will be instrumental in driving innovation and maintaining the highest standards of service for our clients.

“At Dains, we are committed to combining local, personal relationships with the strength of a wider team, ensuring that every client receives exceptional quality and support.”
