BHP has promoted more than 70 people across the firm as part of an ongoing growth drive.
The 71 promotions include five director appointments, one of which is a newly created audit quality director role.
The new directors include Aaron Lowery, from the Leeds office, who becomes a corporate finance director; and Amanda Townsend, Charles Evers and Julie Hahn, from the Sheffield office, who become head of audit operations, director transaction services and director of digital finance respectively.
Meanwhile Claire Hodgkinson, from BHP’s Chesterfield office, takes up the new role of audit quality director, where she will “ensure quality and innovation” throughout the audit process and team.
BHP has also promoted employees from across its service lines, including six senior managers, three managers, five assistant managers, a financial planner and a brand creative design lead.
In addition, more than 30 trainees have advanced to the next level of their Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification.
Karen Arch, chief people officer at BHP, said: “People are a business’s biggest strength and at BHP we believe in creating an environment where everyone can not only thrive, but feel empowered to deliver work which makes a real difference to clients.
“As a result of this approach, we are able to nurture and grow the right talent who are able to offer trusted advice, now and in the future, and thrive within their respective roles.”
Lisa Leighton, joint CEO at BHP, added: “2025 has been a landmark year for BHP. We have continued to grow, supporting more businesses and organisations than ever with expert advice, relocated our Sheffield team to a new city centre office and welcomed a record number of new trainees. It’s important that we always remember what is enabling this success, and that is our people.
“We are thrilled to see 71 colleagues’ hard work and effort recognised by these deserved promotions. I look forward to working with all of them as we continue to deliver a real impact in our business and on behalf of our clients, enabling us all to thrive in the current ever-evolving business landscape.”
