Deloitte has selected Now Group as its new charity partner in Northern Ireland, expanding an existing relationship with the social enterprise.
The charity provides accredited training for people with disabilities and learning needs, helping prepare them for independent living and employment.
Deloitte has supported Now Group for several years through its Loaf catering business, which recently began operating a café at The Ewart building in Belfast. The café is staffed by Now Group clients.
The new partnership will see Deloitte launch fundraising activities and volunteering opportunities to support the charity’s work.
The announcement follows the end of Deloitte’s six-year partnership with homelessness charity Simon Community, during which it raised nearly £190,000.
The firm will continue to support Simon Community by providing office space at its new Catalyst Bedford Street hub in The Ewart.
Marie Doyle, Deloitte’s office senior partner in Belfast, said: “We truly believe in the ethos, vision and direction of the Now Group and are proud to have collaborated with the organisation as a social value partner.”
Maeve Monaghan, chief executive of Now Group, added: “Deloitte has provided huge amounts of time, expertise and support over the years… I look forward to the further development of our partnership.”
